Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. Her name has been widely praised as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in legal settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded numerous awards and grants. She has provided advice to numerous government organizations and government agencies throughout the world regarding policies and studies pertaining to the way children are treated by the legal system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations, which include The Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Praxis and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman belongs to the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the America Psychological Association's Developmental Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
